Library Information

Circulation
Kindergartners check out one book at a time.  First through fifth graders may check out two books for recreational reading and additional books as needed for class assignments.

Community Patrons
Parents are welcome to check out from the library, just ask for a community patron card application next time you are in the library!

Overdues
Students may check out materials from the library for 10 school days. When a book is out for more than 10 school days, it is considered overdue. Overdue notices are sent to the classrooms to remind students to return materials. We like to encourage students to take personal responsibility for their books.

After a book has been overdue for 21 days or more, a blue note is sent home so you can help your student remember to return his/her book.

After a book has been overdue for 31 days or more, we send an email reminder to the parents. We try to include a picture of the book cover to help in the search.

After a book has been overdue for 41 days or more we assume the book is lost. A bill is then sent for the lost book to help defray the cost of replacing that book. Fees for lost books are paid directly to the library.

Please note: we do not issue overdue fines.
